Frank E. Hisey, Sr.

Frank E. Hisey, Sr., age 92, of Celina, passed away early Monday morning, June 25, 2012 at The Gardens at Celina.

Born on February 3, 1920 in Monticello, Indiana, he was the son of the late John and Hazel (Wilson) Hisey.

On December 7, 1938 he married Wanda Lucille Woods and she passed away on October 12, 1998.

Six children survive: Frank E. Hisey, Jr. of Celina, Sue (Joe) Collins of Amelia Island, Florida, Jeannie (Ralph) Snyder of Van Wert, Carl (Billie) Hisey, Debbie Hisey and Jackie Hisey, all of Celina. Twenty grandchildren, thirty-six great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and a sister, Fern Daniels, age 93, of Berne, IN also survive.

Preceding Frank in death were two daughters: Juanita "Dolly" Godwin of Celina, who died February 12, 2001 and Diana Hughes of Celina, who died August 25, 1986 and two brothers, John and Orvie Hisey.

Frank had worked as a well driller and later as a home builder. He was a member of the Celina First Presbyterian Church.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army as a Combat Engineer, where he received three Bronze Stars.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 2nd at Swamp College Cemetery, Karch Road, Celina, with the Rev. Dave Dennis officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Celina American Legion Post #210 and Celina VFW Post #5713 Honor Guard. A luncheon will be held for family and friends following the service at the Celina American Legion.

Memorials may be made to State of the Heart Hospice.
